Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
Dexter (“Dexter,” “we,” “us”) operates the Dexter web companion at usedexter.app (the “Service”), which lets you sign in and view the trading-card collection you’ve synced from the Dexter mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information We Collect
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider, Clerk, processes your name, email address, profile image, and the sign-in method you use (for example Google, Discord, or email).
- Collection data. Your collections, card entries, and organisation details are stored in our database (Supabase) and synced from the Dexter mobile app. The web companion displays this data read-only.
- Card metadata. Card names, set details, images, and prices are retrieved from the Dexter API. This is general catalog data and is not personal information.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and Clerk may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, and access times for security and reliability.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To display your synced collection and its current values.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
How Information Is Shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Supabase — storage of your collection data.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security practices. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in (set by Clerk). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Data Retention & Your Choices
Your collection is managed in the Dexter mobile app, which is the source of truth; the web companion is read-only. You can update or remove cards in the mobile app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Authentication data is retained for as long as your account is active.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International Users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
